So often it is the smallest things, like where to search for music or costumes that suit the student; which variations to consider for competitions; what holiday programs are available or who to turn to for the best medical and health care recommendations specific to each individual student.
Some vocational students wish to gain an insight into life as a professional dancer. Some students need a sympathetic and friendly ear to be able to discuss a dilemma or decision with.
Monique works collaboratively with the dance student, discussing and tailoring individual training and strengthening programs or rehabilitation programs to best suit the dancer’s strengths, weaknesses or injury recovery. Monique checks in regularly to ensure she and the student are on track.
Private coaching can help you learn to deal with disappointment, negativity and rejection. Coaching helps keep the spirits buoyed, and continues to inspire you through difficult patches, such as recovery from injury.

If you feel you are ready to start your journey to a deeper understanding of your body, and building of personal strength and technique in a holistic and safe way, Monique would be thrilled to work with you.
During this session, we will review your history, including training, weaknesses and injuries (if any), and discuss your goals, what you hope to achieve and what direction you hope to go. Once we have mutual understanding, we will develop a future action plan and recommended schedule. Your first coaching session will ideally be booked within a week of the initial consultation. The initial consultation can take place in person or online over Zoom video chat.
